The Central Georgia Rail-to-Trail
Association, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 organization that was formed in April 2006. The organization’s primary purpose is
to pursue the construction of a shared-use trail, with appropriate amenities, on
an approximate 33-mile abandoned railway line that runs from the City of Macon,
through Jones County to the City of Milledgeville.
